Foundation for Change
The HITT Contracting Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit established to unify HITT's philanthropic efforts and maximize our giving impact. The Foundation's mission is to improve the lives of our team members, partners, and subcontractors through investments in technology, education, relationships, and community. The Foundation invests in the next generation of builders and innovative construction practices through scholarships and endowments, supporting institutions that focus on improving team members' collective wellbeing, and research and development. Inspired by the legacy of Chairman Emeritus Russell Hitt who was passionate about giving both philanthropically and through volunteerism, the Foundation allows HITT to further achieve our purpose.

Camp Fantastic
HITT’s research and development (R&D) team participated in Camp Fantastic, a camp for children ages 7 to 17 with cancer hosted by Special Love in Washington, D.C. Guided by Senior Robotics Manager Dr. Viktor Orekhov, campers interacted with our robot, Spot, and explored its applications in construction. In partnership with the National Institutes of Health (NIH), Camp Fantastic provides vital medical care while giving campers a week full of learning and fun.

JK Community Farms
In 2025, we partnered with JK Community Farm, a Loudoun County, Virginia-based nonprofit dedicated to fighting food insecurity. Through farmland sponsorship and community-focused enhancements, HITT sponsored one acre of farmland and helped create a construction-themed play area that connects our work to the farm’s mission.

Blood Cancer United
In 2025, HITT teams from coast to coast united for Blood Cancer United (formerly Leukemia & Lymphoma Society) Light the Night event. We walked together with local chapters, helping raise money to advance research, patient support, and community awareness.

Homeboy Industries
For the sixth year, HITT’s Los Angeles team supported the Homeboy Industries Holiday Carnival. The organization, dedicated to providing hope, training, and opportunity to formerly gang-involved and previously incarcerated individuals, hosts an annual event that brings joy and essential resources to local families during the holiday season. HITT team members volunteered on-site to support event operations and assist with distributing donated goods to families in attendance.

Be the
Good

At HITT, Be the Good Week is celebrated each April when teams nationwide dedicate their time to give back to the local communities where we live, play, and work. From serving hot meals and hosting community clean-ups to supporting military veterans and more, these actions truly make a difference, reflecting our belief that individual actions can have great impacts.

In 2025, hundreds of HITT team members participated in more than 25 Be the Good Week events across the country, serving local organizations, neighborhoods, and the planet.
